Brian Sullivan who was previously Sky’s head of Customer Experience is an American (as am I!) and having been back home watching the cable services in the US decided it would be a good idea to try our hand at an american style ‘Barker Channel’. This channel is a shop window for the broadcaster. It sometimes has the TV menu along with some video marketing and also ads from third parties. They are truly ‘barking’ at the viewer. We took Brian's idea and turned it into something suitable for our audience. It served up details on new series and movies along with light touch help and support. A bit of weather and news to round it out. All interactive and engineered by Sky’s superb video technicians.
