I am a digital design director with 10+ years experience working in both large in-house creative teams, media companies and production agencies.
From CEO to intern, my people management skills run the breadth of the organisation and the lifespan of the project. Highly skilled and experienced at pitching and presentation, I am adept at engaging stakeholders in the creative process and identifying their business objectives. I seek to build a team ethos that allows the creative ideation to generate from the core business strategy. I take pride in my coaching and mentoring of all members of the creative team regardless of their level of seniority. Experienced and skilled at working across all digital platforms and with technologists. I have a good grasp of the technical and an enthusiasm for new modes of technology. Creative direction, brand design and development, responsive web design, user interface design, wireframing, storyboarding, presentation design, graphic design, interaction design, video and film shoot directing, social media design. I have creatively led teams of designers, animators, and
developers. I work with and commission copywriters, illustrators and composers. I am fluent in a variety of software tools including Adobe Creative suite, Keynote, Webflow, Azure and Omnigraffle.
Art Director for Sky's in-house digital creative team. I currently work in the digital department where we oversee interactive work for online, product and mobile design. This includes web and microsite design, mobile apps, social media apps, rich media campaigns, interactive TV and r&d prototypes. I also work in 360 campaign teams on wider ranging design projects such as channel branding, internal communication projects and promotional video. As part of my work I commission and brief copywriters, illustrators, composers and developers. I also have experience directing video and film shoots.
I have also created and produced the Sky Arts Stings competition for UK design and animations students. This projects feeds the branding for Sky Arts Channel identity.
Design Director for the Sky News Graphics team, a multi-discipline and fast moving creative department of 25 designers and animators. It was my responsibility to oversee the creative work of all team members, to liaise with news management and editorial staff and to work along side the promo department to deliver all graphic materials for promo creatives. Our work encompassed daily news graphics, large design projects such as general elections and the Iraqi War, re-branding and re-freshing the channel and it associated assets as well as creating sponsorship and promo graphics.
Interactive broadcast design with an emphasis on iTV applications but also including channel branding and Virtual Reality set design. Responsible for all UX and design direction for Sky News Active: world's first interactive TV news service.
Produced daily graphics for nightly national news broadcast. Art directed larger info graphic sequences. Worked on branding for the program and associated news projects such as the Presidential elections and the Iraq war.
Graphic Artist for video production facility on Manhattan's east side. Designed and produced work for in-house clients who ranged from broadcast TV producers, corporate video makers and advertising agencies. Worked with clients such as Fox Television, Hewlett Packard, Pitney Bowes and Krupps.
